Halloween Programming

Hungry for mysterious and frightening Halloween stories? Known as one of Montreal’s haunted places, the Museum is organizing a program full of strange stories and phenomena that will delight young and old alike. In addition to visiting the new exhibition Nights and the scary world imagined by author Dominique Demers, you’ll be able to counter paranormal activity in the new escape game Phantoms of the Island, offered in partnership with Randolph, and attend a lecture on the history of Creatures of the Night. On October 31, the Museum will open its doors until 10 p.m. for a fun and spooky evening.

Creatures of the Night

Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 2 p.m.
As part of the History of the Night series, come learn the history of the “creatures of the night” that peopled a system of extremely complex practices, beliefs and images devised to bring order to a harrowing world of darkness and dangers. Ghosts, demons and wonders will be examined through their origins and history in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
