Family Horror Weekend

For Halloween weekend, families are invited to the Museum to take part in a variety of activities. On the program: the new Phantoms of the Island escape game, the Nights exhibition including an activity designed especially for children on the theme of fear, inspired by children’s author Dominique Demers’ story, and a set of challenges in The Story Factory. Of course, visitors of all ages are invited to come to the Museum in costume.


Take advantage of the Halloween atmosphere to visit Nights, the exhibition inspired by original tales by four famous Quebec authors. You’ll have the chance to dive into their different nocturnal worlds and face your fear of the dark with activities designed especially for children in the imaginary night of children’s author Dominique Demers.


Halloween activities (30 minutes)
In French: 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
In English: 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Tour of the exhibition (30 minutes)
In French: 2 p.m.
In English: 3 p.m.

The Story Factory

In The Story Factory, families will have fun tackling three challenges: writing, interrogating and reinventing history!

A mediator will be present at The Story Factory to facilitate activities all day.

Phantoms of the Island

Families are invited to the official launch of a brand new escape game, Phantoms of the IslandStrange manifestations have been troubling the peace at the Museum, and participants are tasked with re-establishing order. Specially for Halloween, those who solve all the clues or demonstrate exemplary teamwork will win a sweet treat at the end of the game.


Exceptionally for the horror weekend, the escape game will be offered all day on both days.

Pratical information

Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Capacity: 4 to 10 players

It is possible to make a reservation for fewer than 4 people, but participants will be paired with another group of players. The Museum cannot guarantee that the activity will be available for groups of fewer than 4 players total.

Please note that children under the age of 9 cannot participate in the activity and must be accompanied by an adult until the age of 15.
