The Guardians of Sleep
In the Night of Imagination created by Dominique Demers, Pascal Bastien takes inspiration from a small teddy bear to talk about imagination and the imaginary, a subject that has always fascinated historians.
“A children’s room is a powerful lab where young imaginations submit themselves, eagerly, to all experiences. But at night, when we’re on the threshold of sleep, we sometimes need a guardian to protect us from our nightmares.”

History of the night
For the 2020 edition, the History of the Night lecture series offered in partnership with UQAM’s Research Group on the History of Sociabilities (GRHS) is changing formats. Through videos, four historians will introduce you to hidden facets of the history of the night, taking inspiration from artifacts presented in each world of the exhibition.
